Susan Freda

Susan Freda is a sculptor known for her deft use of materials such as glass and wire to create intricate and organic sculptural wall works. She employs form, line and light as vehicles to create ephemeral works that hold the viewer entranced with their ethereal shadow play and quiet sparkle

Education:

Susan received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She has been the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award, a Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Public Art Grant and a de Young Museum Artist-in-Residence Award. Her shoe and dress forms have been presented by Stuart Weitzman, Neiman Marcus, Ferragamo, Gotham of London and by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery. Her work is included in the collection of the Museo Italo Americano of San Francisco, and in numerous private as well as corporate collections. She is represented by Rosenbaum Contemporary Art & Patricia Rovzar Gallery.

Exercise 3 (Self-Reflective)

For me the Element of art such as line, shape, form, space and color  has  important role  in our daily life especially as a artist ,painter or someone who learn about art. We must apply the element of art and principle of art in our artwork. To give more impact in artwork.  Each of element  give us different meaning and function in our artwork.  Such as Form  in art, means the whole of a piece’s visible elements and the way those elements are united.  example to get form we must create line first and then shape .

FINAL PROJECT 1: MONOCHROME COLOR & GEOMETRIC PATTERN ON CANVAS

Step 2: Lakar lukisan yang dipilih diatas kain kanvas yang berukuran (1 1/2 feet x 2 1/2 feet)

Step 2: Lakar lukisan awal menggunakan pensil  . Garisan mestilah menggunakan pembaris. Ukuran mestilah sama dan tepat disetiap corak/bentuk.

Step 3: Bagi proses mewarna saya menggunakan  peralatan seperti berus , pen, marker bersaiz mata kecil, acrylic dan water colour. Manakala bagi Pilihan warna yang digunakan ialah warna  monocrome warna unggu, merah oren, dan kuning. serta sedikit warna hitam dan putih.
